This comprehensive seminar will address ethical issues that architects face in their every day practice. The seminar will be presented by Roger Smith, R.A., founding partner of BBS Architects, Landscape Architects and Engineers, PC, and David B. Kosakoff, Esq. LEED AP, Managing Partner of Kosakoff & Cataldo LLP. Together, the presenters will provide actual examples from the perspectives of an architect and a lawyer.
Architects face ethical issues every day that can impact their practices over the course of their careers. This seminar will attempt to address circumstances that architects may find themselves in that can expose them to extreme consequences. Learning objectives are as follows:
To provide architects with a practical guide to address ethical considerations in their practice.
To identify specific areas of the AIA Code of Ethics and Practice Guidelines by the New York State Education Department.
By incorporating various examples, this interactive presentation will assist architects in developing a better understanding of how to deal with ethical issues and identify them when they arise.
To develop strategies to address circumstances that may impact their practice and expose them to ethical violations. To broaden the attendees' understanding of their day to day responsibilities to their clients.
